1 NE 3 F Boyers, PA is comprised of a short film, series of photographs, and appropriated documents gathered from the Corbis Film Preservation Facility in 2015. The facility operated to digitize the Otto Bettmann Film Archive, consisting of over 15 million negatives, prints, and glass plates. During the making of the project Corbis was one of the two largest image licensing companies worldwide, but has since been purchased by Getty Images. 1 NE 3 F Boyers, PA explores how images are commodified and the way digital tagging interacts with the history, space, and laborers of the archive.
